Guides

Quick guides

Filer vs non-filer

Being on the Active Taxpayers List reduces withholding on property, vehicles, banking and more. File your return by the due date to stay active.

Choosing a business structure

Sole proprietor, AOP, SMC, private limited or LLP: each has different tax, liability, audit and filing consequences.

Received an FBR notice?

Note the response date, don’t ignore it, and don’t reply without reviewing your records. Most notices can be resolved with proper documentation.

Freelancer income

Receive payments through banking channels and keep your remittance certificates: they are key evidence for your tax position.

Selling property

Capital gains and advance taxes apply on disposal and purchase. Plan before you sign, not after.

Starting a non-profit

Section 42 company, trust or society? Registration route affects governance, donor acceptance and tax exemption.
